Berserk 

Berserk is a dark fantasy anime based on the manga by Kentaro Miura. It follows Guts, a wandering mercenary with a tragic past, and his entanglement with the charismatic leader Griffith and the mercenary group Band of the Hawk. Set in a brutal medieval world filled with war, betrayal, and supernatural forces, the story explores themes of ambition, fate, and vengeance.

The most famous adaptation is the 1997 series, which covers the Golden Age Arc—the rise and fall of Griffith and his betrayal of Guts and the Hawks during the apocalyptic “Eclipse.” Later adaptations include the Berserk: The Golden Age Arc film trilogy (2012–2013) and the 2016–2017 anime series, which continues the story with updated (though often criticized) 3D animation.
